Join Portland Fruit Tree Project and local mason bee expert Stephen Anderson in a 1.5 to 2 hour hands-on class harvesting your mason bee cocoons and preparing them for overwintering. This class is for those with their own bee houses, although we will also have a few demo houses on hand. Stephen will walk us through best practices and common issues with caring for bees in their sleepy months. Folx can Bring your bee house, a pocket knife, some old toothbrushes and a couple of thin plastic 1 or 2-cup containers.
