Native Plant Dig Day! We are inviting our neighbors to help us thin our natives, and at the end of the work party, we'll share the plants to take home! Native plants provide multiple benefits to people and wildlife while contributing greatly to healthy soil and water in urban and rural areas. We have a variety of plants to share including salmonberry, thimbleberry, red flowering currant, and snowberry.
Bring shovels and pots so you can bring home some natives to add to your own home garden!
Join us as we care for the Parkrose Orchard! This space is a young orchard of well-cared-for trees, with lots of different varieties of fruit and native plants to explore. We will be weeding the tree bases, pruning back the native plants, and mulching! This is a lovely space and we have many opportunities to learn and harvest from these trees in collaboration with the Parkrose Community United Church of Christ.
