In this hands-on workshop, we will explore the basics of summer pruning, for apples, pears, figs, and plums. Summer pruning helps control vigor, encourage early spur development, and keep trees small. With small-group instruction, you will be able to practice your skills on a number of well-maintained trees. This is a great introduction to summer pruning or an opportunity to hone your skills! 

If you have a pair of pruners or gloves feel free to bring them, we will also have some for your to borrow.

Please dress for the weather and bring lots of water or snacks as needed!
