The mulberries are coming on strong!

Please only sign up here If you came to the orientation in June, the timing on this day is flexible.  

Enter the orchard going through two gates on the right side of the house.  The mulberries trees will be evident by the tarps lying underneath them.

General Harvest Instructions: 

1. Please gather the berries on the tarps into your containers.  Those that have been on the ground are especially good for fermenting, cooking, and even dehydrating (think mead, vinegar, syrup, jelly, etc.)
2. Replace the tarps and gently shake the accessible branches.  If there are long sticks around you can use those to knock higher branches. These will be your freshest berries.  You may also hand pick.
3. Please replace the tarps again.

You may use the spigot on the house to wash your hands.  Stains come out with lemon juice, hot water, and stain remover.

Don't forget your containers!
